RED on the Red Carpet

Oscar weekend is upon us! It has been an interesting year for movies and new red carpet trends. One major color trend that is still around and kicking is bold red looks. In honor of the most famous red carpet in the world, we have compiled some of our favorite RED looks worthy of the red carpet.

Belated Gala Thoughts...

The Met Gala was two weeks ago and a few things were clear: Right now fashion loves flowers, lace, sheer, and metallics. Also, if you put all those together in a mermaid silhouette you've got a winner!

I'm not a huge fan of either. Christina Ricci (in Zac Posen) and Beyonce (in Pucci) are clearly both fabulous in figure but lacking in the logistics of walking. Apparently Beyonce got booed for not posing long enough. I suspect it's due to her needing the extra time to get up the steps inside.

Dress trends aside, there were some great statement pieces on the red carpet as well. Most notably from the likes of Ginnifer Goodwin. Matchy matchy with her multi gemstone Y necklace.


And big dramatic drops on Emma Stone, Rihanna, and Bar Rafaeli.
